Melanie Kuntz

Melanie Kuntz is a local artist residing in Arrowwood, Alberta. She grew up in British Columbia and always loved the beauty that is in nature; especially in that area. Her grandmother was an artist and belonged to an art society in Dawson Creek, BC. She would be pleased to know that Melanie has developed two of the same great loves in her life: gardening and painting. Melanie has always loved colour which is clearly exemplified in most of her work. She is an avid gardener and loves to beautify her life with flowers. She started painting in 2017 as a way to preserve the memory of her summer garden during the long Alberta winters. She finds both joy and peace while working with her flowers either with a shovel or with a brush. Trying to capture nature in a painting is an exhilarating task and one that she takes on most readily. Melanie enjoys working with both watercolour and arylic mediums and looks forward to developing her skills and talent. "I must have flowers. always and always" Claude Monet
